The Mora Gerety Scholarship Fund

Thank you for thinking of TRICA as a way to honor Mora Gerety and her family.

In loving memory of our longtime TRICA student, with the encouragement of her family, we are establishing the Mora Gerety Scholarship Fund to honor her bright spirit and joyful presence in our community. This fund will support future TRICA students, helping them discover their own creativity and love of the arts - just as Mora did.

Through this scholarship her light and laughter will continue to inspire others for years to come.  We invite you to join us in celebrating her life and legacy by contributing to the fund. Our hearts are with Mora's family.

A Note from Jon Swarthout, TRICA's Founder/Director:

There is an image of Mora that jumps to the front of my mind immediately.  She is before me as I am leading her class through a TRICA lesson of arts learning. Her big blue eyes are wide open and she is looking right at me and listening to every word that is part of the lesson. A story, a joke, or simply how to execute a dance step in the choreography. She had a learner's heart, absorbing every part of the instruction with her big blue eyes looking right back up at me and her ears catching every part of what I am saying. She registered exactly what I was trying to teach and then she would do the dance steps and continue to apply the next learning opportunity. My honor and dream is giving this opportunity to as many children as possible. A donation to the Mora Gerety Scholarship Fund will do exactly that. I will think of her when I see these future students with learners' hearts just like Mora's looking at me with their eyes wide open as I teach.
